Playwright
Eve Ensler interviewed women about their vaginas, often a taboo
subject, and using their individual and collective stories wrote a
series of monologues.
The Vagina Monologues was first performed in 1996, and have been performed around the world by both amateurs and professionals.
The
monologues contain adult language and discuss adult themes. They are
funny, poignant, intelligent and can be confronting - but should not be
missed!
This is a play about women, performed by women, but not just for women.
